Meeting Sanrina

On a site called Neopets not far away,
A girl called Estantia came on to play.
She found a small wocky and held its paw tight,
and then they vanished off into the night...

The story of how I met my first Neopet, enjoy!

Nothing is as it seems...

On a spar of a mountain range a small catlike creature reverentially approached the edge, the sight slowing her walk to a stunned standstill at the very edge, wind catching it's collar of fur as it took in the scene before her.

Standing on a ledge of a mountain range there was an uninterrupted view of the plain before it, the wide, flat bowl of land was cast into deep shadow by the fat red-gold sun half over the horizon. From the black expanse of the land the spires of a single black city stabbed upwards to be silhouetted against the sunset.

As the Wocky stood stunned the human watched. She stood a little way behind and to the side of the catlike creature and smiled lovingly at the little girl's reaction to the sight. She let the silence become part of the moment and then broke it, without breaking it at all.

"This is all I can offer you."

The wocky was still gazing at the scene before her but now thinking. Time held it's breath as the wind played over the wocky's fur and wafted among the girl's golden coat that was almost a robe.

The young wocky turned back to the girl, looking up at her with shining eyes and leapt into the girl's waiting arms as she caught her and they moved to the end of the rock.

A word floated on the wind, and the animal knew instinctively that it was both her name and who she was, looking out over the plain from the horseshoe of mountains.

Sanrina.

From the black expanse of the land the spires of a single black city stabbed upwards to be silhouetted against the sunset.] ... there be a glow of set set on the land at the farther horizon so the the distance horizon and the sky blend and fuzz/blurr together and are not a sharp line...

2006-03-14 [Estantia]: yes, i put in center tags for each and it complained... The image itself I'd rather have bigger than smaller. Still uncertain about what you mean by the fuzz though...
